About

Bishnu Prasad Shrestha, is a Nepalese sculptor awarded with various prestigious awards from Nepal like Regional Award-Eastern Development Region, National Lalitkala Award – Contemporary Sculpture, Batch Topper in Masters in Sculpture (2016) and some others. This young and vibrant sculptor completed his Masters Degree (M.F.A.) in Sculpture from Central Department of Fine Arts (T.U.), Kirtipur, Kathmandu and is currently working as a part-time Lecturer-Sculpture in Tribhuvan University (Fine Art Campus), ACME Engineering College, Universal College and AIMS College.

He has continuously been involved in creation of sculptures and exhibiting them since 1999. He is determined, focused and dedicated to art field specially sculpture and has successfully showcased two solo sculpture exhibitions titled "Hidden truth Revealed" exhibited in Babarmahal, Kathmandu inaugurated by Hon. Speaker Subash Nembang in 2014 and "Sculpted Struggles" exhibited in the beautiful city of Ilam inaugurated by former prime minister Jhalnath Khanal in 2016.

His sculptures are a part of Public and Private Collections in different parts of Nepal and at present he is professionally associated with ARAMBHA as an executive member and Artist’s Society of Nepal as a general member.
